San Francisco, part 1 (June 21, 2009)
The morning in a methodist church to listen gospel music. Walk on the streets of San Francisco and bike tour over the Golden Gate Bridge in the afternoon.
The Golden Gate Bridge
Fisherman’s Wharf is a good place to rent a bike. Not only is the area flat, it is also the easiest place in San Francisco to access the Golden Gate Bridge. So we rented a bike each for the day and rode across the Golden Gate Bridge. It was also great to have a sunny day because it’s not usual; it’s often foggy in summer.
The Golden Gate Bridge is the largest suspension bridge in the world and an internationally renowned symbol of San Francisco. This bridge spans the Golden Gate which is opening into the San Francisco Bay from the Pacific Ocean. Completed during the year 1937, it was the longest suspension bridge span in the world until 1964.
